The FRS-RACK®3 device is intended for a fire protection of rack and technology cabinets, fitted with a 19" mounting frame. Up to 2.7 kg of fire extinguisher can be used of following types (based on customer's request: HFC 227ea, HFC 236fa, FK-5-1-12). The device is fully automated and is ready for use immediately after installation.

The FRS-RACK®3 device is able to communicate over the network via an Ethernet port, so it can be configured and monitored remotely. FRS-RACK®3 devices can also be combined into groups and thus automatically start all units at the same time in the case of protecting a larger data center area.

Additional configurations of this product are possible as well as external components can be added to the product, such as

  • Extinguishing manual start button
  • Internal technologies (e.g. ventilation) switch off
  • Door contact for blocking extinguishing in case of violation of the integrity of the space
  • Signal beacon

  • Extinguishant container (1) a stainless steel reservoir filled with the agent FK-5-1-12.
  • Pressurized nitrogen in pressure tanks (4)
  • Combined optical smoke and temperature sensors (9)
  • Back-up Un battery (11) is a supplementary energy source for the work of the device in case of the main energy source failure. The capacity of the back-up battery fully covers energy requirements of the system to complete the release of extinguishant.
  • Control board (14) collects and evaluates the data from all inputs and sensors, receives external signals and send commands to peripheral devices.
  • Manual control and local alarm board (15) allows the manual control of the device from the front panel, it notifies about the device’s current condition with built-in LED diodes.
